Jordan is 6-0 at NBA finals BUT LeBron has been to 9 NBA finals - 8 of them straight (from the same conference as Jordan - east) - winning three.
When you add the entire LeBron package, you WILL reach a point where 6-0 advantage begins to wither - if not get even. And that's when LeBron is not done yet.
Translation: Insanity and stratospheric showing @ 'limited' domain HAS the ability to overcome 'common sense' domination - under 'controlled' conditions.
Nadal's ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE domination on clay may one day begin to gain higher credibility than Federer's overall skillfulness - if it hasn't already - specially for the 'peasants' as compared to the nerds.
And that's when Nadal is not done yet AND he has ALREADY done better than most hard court and grass court specialists @ US Open and Wimbledon.
Without sounding unreasonably hyperbolic, there's a VERY realistic possibility - barring injury - that Nadal could win at least one more Slam this year. Heck, it may not even be a stretch if the thought of Nadal winning the remaining two Slams of the year is entertained - half hardheartedly - given his lowest (?) TOC stat @ 2018 clay season, his unprecedented form, Federer's 37th birthday, zero competition, no Murray, Djokovic, Serena!!!! - meaning he could win THREE Slams this year thereby getting to No. 19. - forget the year end No. 1 rank or total weeks @ No. 1 carrot.
Can you imagine if Federer wasn't 'lucky' @ 2017 AO finals? Nadal would have been @ 18 today with Federer @ 19.
Federer BETTER be even 'luckier' @ 2018 Wimbledon. If not, he will be RUN OVER on the Slam pole. Nadal may pass No. 20 with so much margin that just mentioning GOAT and Federer would evoke uncontrollable laughter. And that's without even mentioning the H2H cat.
And that's if Nadal now wins NOTHING but Roland Garros for the rest of his life - and beyond. If not, second or even a third Career Slam will wipe away any advantage Federer may claim with respect to his all round showing. One more Wimbledon and two AO titles will hand Nadal his third Career Slam.
At this point, Nadal winning AO and clinching the second Career Slam may not be Federer's greatest worry. It may be 2018 Wimbledon. And it's not about him NOT winning. It's MORE about Nadal winning - with or without Federer in the final.
If a clown you call clay Mowgli is able to win THREE titles (one after defeating you in five sets) @ your 'Home' Slam and reach SIX finals there AND you have managed to win just ONE title (with a massive asterisk) and reach five finals @ his 'Home' - that robs you of significant juice when accusing someone of being a one-surface clown.
Translation: 2018 Wimbledon is a MASSIVE must win for Federer - @ age 37 - just to hope that he is not passed - forget the lead. And that's without inserting the fact that the ONLY reason he is keeping the wolf at bay today is because he has won multiple Slams (THREE) past age 35 - after dodging one sandal after another.
Bottom line: Nadal's insanity @ clay may overshadow ALL of Federer's brilliance - with or without Nadal adding few more non clay Slam titles. More so when Federer has done JACK @ Wimbledon - comparatively.
