ALPHA
TP, can we please have a suicide pool for Miami Winner gets WOF. If we have multiple winners, they get an honorable mention.
Note: Rules are simple.
Each round you must pick a man who will not lose in that round, and then you can't use that player again. So, don't pick Novak in R1 or R2 for you can't pick him again.
If anyone can survive all rounds, they'll get a WOF (Wall Of Fame) or HM (Honorable Mention) on the WOF if shared.
It's harder than you think -- there was no winner at IW.
Let's start with R2. Your pick must be in before R2 starts.
Please participate, ladies and gents.
It's fun, it'll keep you more involved, and maybe you'll get to say you beat Veglia, something very few people claim in WOF contests. Plus, you are not subject to TP's unique logic.
So, JOIN IN!
Draw here.
Wall Of Fame here.
R2 - SCHWARTZMAN

It is sometimes hard to determine when a particular round starts, especially early or when there are rain delays. I liked the IW rule better, make your pick no later than the match starts .
Posted by: Veglia | 03/19/2019 at 12:07 AM
OK; sure. All very friendly and no one won anyway.
Posted by: Alpha | 03/19/2019 at 01:07 AM
Thanks High Commissioner Alpha!
Posted by: Veglia | 03/19/2019 at 07:11 AM
Veglia, Alpha might really make you suffer. Although you may have dozens of WOFs, you might not even win one of these. I don't know, maybe you need to call 10 matches? correctly to win one?
Posted by: O | 03/19/2019 at 09:57 AM
:) I think it's fair game for all. And a lot of fun. Here's a fact: although I didn't get to WoF of the very first suicide pool as I ran out of options for the finals, I did "win" it by being the last man standing. And that will stay true for ever and a day. As long as there's TP. Bragging rights! So even when Alpha is right two years from now in an argument, I can always pull "remember who won the very first suicide pool"! Right? :)
Good fun here on the planet ...

I am only pointing out how hard this is. It's a lot harder to win a sunshine double than someone actually wins a sunshine double. This WOF by Alpha, you are right, it is fair game for all. I think you will not earn bragging rights like you did with TP's WOFs.

Challenge accepted

WE NEED PARTICIPANTS PLEASE!
Clifford, Nick, Sperry, Gary, Bettyjane, Stella, TP himself? Others?
Posted by: Alpha | 03/19/2019 at 04:49 PM
Veglia, you didn't win :-) There was an absolute criteria that you failed to meet. But all is not over. Even though you didn't win the first one, you could always be the first winner. Hire Radek and focus on Miami.

Is this where I'm supposed to post my pick, Alpha?

sicko. How does it feel to loose in first match ? Comfortably numb .
Posted by: nick | 03/22/2019 at 06:54 PM
Oops, too bad. If you want, you can still "audit" it. Play, but no credit -- can't win.
Posted by: Alpha | 03/22/2019 at 10:03 PM
Ah, the great equalizer, that is sports. Both O and Veglia out in R2.
Posted by: Alpha | 03/23/2019 at 05:04 PM
Wow, I thought it'll be difficult. At IW, if only Raonic beat Thiem, and Federer beat Raonic, I would have won. Alpha you are right. Being close means nothing, you have to win it. Honestly I don't think I'll win one of these, but best of luck to all the other contenders!!!
The WOF I did win was predicting Federer beating Rafa at AO17? I'll have to enjoy that match along with the WOF I'm afraid?

Why don't you try all the way?
Posted by: Veglia | 03/27/2019 at 03:55 PM
OK; three names all at once. QF: Shapavalov; SF: Isner; F: Federer.
I'll update when its over -- win or lose.
Posted by: Alpha | 03/27/2019 at 06:10 PM
Federer maybe will have a good chance here in Miami? the conditions seem to be better in the new facility? Last week at IW, the conditions were tough, especially in the finals. All in all, Federer seems to like the conditions and plays at a high level. In addition Djokovic and Rafa are both gone?
Posted by: O | 03/27/2019 at 06:45 PM
Seems like TsiTsipas took down more than one. First Felix at IW and now here Dennis . It ain't getting easier. When will a NextGen stand up and win a slam.
Posted by: nick | 03/27/2019 at 10:47 PM
My guess is it will happen this year. If not definitly next year. Roger can't win 7 best of five matches. His performance since the 2018 AO has been 2 4Rs and 1 QF and one absence. Nova's form has doived again an delt's see if he ahs it hom to brong it back up again. Nadal is injured much too often. After that it's anybody.

Looking good
Posted by: Veglia | 03/29/2019 at 08:10 PM
Fingers crossed, though more for Roger to win this one. To lose IW to Thiem and then Miami to Isner would not be good.
