Djokovic secretly (heck, publicly) and eagerly yearns for something everyone with six or more Slams had / has - except maybe Lendl.
What is it?
First correct answer = Wall Of Fame listing.
Winner / Correct answer: Monday, April 8, 2019.

Adulation
Posted by: bhaj | 04/01/2019 at 03:35 PM
Darn, 109 won't work. So, fan club.
Posted by: Alpha | 04/01/2019 at 03:37 PM
Told you, the answer is 42.
Posted by: Veglia | 04/01/2019 at 04:18 PM
"except maybe Lendl" in my view disqualifies love and adulation because he definitely didn't have it, not maybe
Posted by: Veglia | 04/01/2019 at 04:30 PM
HINT: It's a tangible thing.
Posted by: Tennis Planet | 04/01/2019 at 04:36 PM
This is not the answer but an interesting fact. All others were/are from the Western World, Djokovic is not. Lendl is "maybe" because he is a naturalized American.
Back on topic ...
I was pondering love, adulation, recognition but as far as I remember Lendl really didn't give a crap about these things. In fact, he enjoyed not being loved.
Moving forward with analysis, TP probably refers to the Open Era, because I really have no clue what was that Fred Perry or Bill Tilden didn't have.
So, since it's not love and adulation, it's not 109 or even 42 ... it must be good looks!

A home tournament.

National hero status?
Posted by: O | 04/01/2019 at 06:29 PM
By that I don't mean a tournament they've done well in as in Winbledon is Fed's home. I mean a proper tournament in their home country. Serbia had one that was owned by the Djokovics, which tells you how much he wants one. There isn't one any longer.

his own shoe -- even Stan Smith has one

I always that thought Roger had an exclusive with AW.
Hmmm...
Posted by: Gary Lee Moser | 04/02/2019 at 12:19 PM
You deserve one here even If TP doesn't give you with his weird calculations
Posted by: nick | 04/02/2019 at 12:26 PM
nope, in IW and somewhere else I saw her sitting inn a diffeent box -- Serena's maybe. Maybe anywhere she can get a good seat for free
Posted by: stella | 04/02/2019 at 01:39 PM
OK, TWS...quite possibly.
But TP's stipulation was "something everyone with six or more Slams had / has - except maybe Lendl".
So, even if it's RF and TWS --- but ONLY RF and TWS --- that's can't be it, right?
Posted by: Gary Lee Moser | 04/02/2019 at 03:41 PM
what's TWS ?
Posted by: stella | 04/02/2019 at 06:49 PM
The Williams Sister.

Some kind of peer-aknwoledgement.

a son who will follow him in tennis -- Edberg's son plays, as does Sampras. Lendl has about 6 daughters ( no sons ) and the girls all golf
But Rafa doesn't have a son to follow him so probably this guess is wrong too
Posted by: stella | 04/05/2019 at 05:36 PM
He is missing good US open finals record. Win-loss is 3-5, Lendl also is 3-5. Also, the French-Wimbledon combo. I know Agassi or Sampras didn't win them back to back. Maybe he earns for a good GS final record before he retires. Whenever I remember Lendl, the first thing that comes to my mind is his terrible GS finals record and his number of losses in the US Open finals.
What he secretly yearns will be known by TP alone! As he can read what's on other people's mind. Especially top tennis players.

"He is missing good US open finals record. Win-loss is 3-5, Lendl also is 3-5."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And 11-Slam-winner Borg is 0-4 there.
So that obviously isn't it.

WINNER: VEGLIA
Good looks.
Posted by: Tennis Planet | 04/08/2019 at 02:50 PM
Finally, we're back at guessing what's in TP's head. None of that nonsense from Alpha that involves skill and strategy.
Posted by: Veglia | 04/08/2019 at 04:17 PM
"Good looks" --- "something everyone with six or more Slams had / has - except maybe Lendl."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Personally never saw it with Becker, either.
Oh, well --- eye-of-the-beholder and all that jazz...

A real Wall of Fame: why the middle name since recently?
Posted by: Veglia | 04/08/2019 at 04:44 PM
This really required someone to visit the basement to see what is TP's ideas of good looks. McEnroe is good looking? Wasn't Agassi a sumo wrestler? How many jokes on Fed's nose?
Veglia I want to see a picture of you and TP together. Otherwise, I'm now convinced you are the same guy.
Posted by: Alpha | 04/08/2019 at 05:24 PM
You mean you're not convinced we are not the same guy?
Posted by: Veglia | 04/08/2019 at 05:26 PM
The "Lee" middle-name thing...didn't realize that until you just pointed it out.
Hmmm...
Don't know.
[ But it has a slightly better ring to it...am I right? ]

It only applies to their playing days. Andre was good looking then.

According to John Madden, in football, "one knee equals two feet".
So there's that. :->

Why not, we are on the Planet after all.
And here's the proof photo we're not the same guy:

WINNER : Alpha

Put a wig on that photo and you get Agassi from his playing days.
Anyway, Hawkeye is with TP. I want him to come out and say that he thinks Agassi is good looking :-)
Posted by: Alpha | 04/09/2019 at 12:51 AM
I've been saying it all along -- they have to be one and the same , or identical twins. This answer is the most laughable and ridiculous yet. Mc Enroe good looking ? Agassi good looking ? Nadal good looking ? Ditto Laver, Connors etc !!!
Why bother with these WOF things. Just announce that on next Monday Veglia will get another win

Posted by: stella | 04/09/2019 at 11:45 AM
Due to popular demand, Veglia is retiring from Wall of Fame competitions. He will continue to be present on the Planet.
Posted by: Veglia | 04/09/2019 at 01:42 PM
Wait, don't retire yet. Nobody, but nobody, can answer most of these. Only you. Besides, you don't wan to be stuck at 9. Your last one is currently under review.

Like DJT has a better ring than simply the Donald.
Next quiz question will ask that someone on this site has something in common with the POTUS.
Posted by: Alpha | 04/09/2019 at 04:51 PM
TP, no answer to Hawkeye? I just need you to come out and say that you think Agasssi is good looking. That's all.

Lendl looked good to me! (at least during his playing career...)
Posted by: bunnee | 04/11/2019 at 03:23 AM
Any response to the Hawkeye challenge, TP?
Posted by: Alpha | 04/11/2019 at 05:06 PM
Hmm. As much as Veglia loves Rafa, he/she is on the verge of own 'La Decima'
