What the heck is Federer wearing?

Iโ€™m glad that Federer won, but to be honest, Roddick deserved this one.

When Fed gets questioned about matches he had in his reach he often says that he won some that he shouldn't have as well. This might be one of the matches he was thinking of. (I'm not completely sure of this since Fed showed alot of tenacity in just hanging in there ....forever. And serving first in the last set certainly helped.)

"deserved this one" --- or "deserved it every bit as much as Federer"? [ I opt for the latter... ]

I do agree with you if we think about the match only. Itโ€™s just that, if we look at Roddickโ€™s career, he was so close at Wimbledon so many times, he was the second best grass court player in the world (in my opinion) in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2009 at least, and stopped by Federer, who is one of the best of all time, if not the best. I mean, the guy played incredible grass court tennis and never won a single W title, basically thatโ€™s why I said he deserved the 2009 trophy.

Career-retrospective angle versus individual-match angle --- I get where your coming from, and have no objection.

For Historical Comparison:

Roddick lost 3 Finals --- all to the most accomplished Wimbledon Champion of the Open Era.

Only Becker, Connors and Federer lost more [ 4 each ].

Only Ivanisevic and Nadal lost as many [ 3 each ].

Yeah...he DESERVED one.

"you're"...not "your".

Otherwise, the volley I intended.
