You cannot be winning with slim freaking margin(s)?
You cannot be the GOAT by sneakily freaking stealing the ball from Malone and then pushing the defender ILLEGALLY to score the Championship winning basket?
You cannot be freaking winning your ‘Home’ Slams with a five setter ANYWHERE in the seven matches - forget the final?
You cannot be winning the H2H battle against your arch rival by 2-1 after barely defeating Frazier in the third fight? Heck, all three fights?
Heck, forget all of above, you cannot freaking be the GOAT if you beat your opponents with comfortable margin(s) - forget slim ones?
So what do you have to do?
You HAVE to freaking pulverize them - ruthlessly. So mercilessly that the next generation decides to opt for some other sport - out of stark fear and intimidation.
With that as the criteria for the GOAT, who comes to your ‘organ that you use for thinking’?
Don Bradman?
Mike Tyson?
Nadal? Borderline? (Clay?)
And NOBODY ELSE?
If everyone - during your era - had / has access to same nutrition, training techniques, coaches, technology etc. AND you are NOT some physical freak meaning physically you conform to your era’s physical ‘norm’ - AND you are pulverizing your competition with the widest margin ever recorded in history of the sport(s), shouldn’t you then not only just qualify for the real GOAT status of your sport but also be in contention for the GOAT of sports in general?
Point: You should not ‘cheat’ by claiming to own ANY advantage over others except uncompromising work ethic, talent and downright killer instinct WHILE annihilating your opponents day in and day out - occasional slip up excepted.
Shouldn’t THAT be the real GOAT? And not Jordan who is freaking outright lucky that Kobe, Shaq, Duncan and LeBron did not (have not?) pass his ring total with a comfortable margin. Or Jack Nicklaus who has admitted to ‘shaking in my boots’ after Woods won his what 15th Slam. Or Ali who barely beat Frazier despite his diminutive size and FAR inferior talent - forget sneaky win over Foreman.
