O

If AO cancels, we'll have two FOs back to back? that will make Rafa happy maybe the undisputed GOAT?

Why would having ONE more Slam --- in any era --- male or female --- make someone "the undisputed GOAT"?

In the 20+ years between Steffi going FOUR Slams beyond the previous Women's record, and TWS going ONE Slam
beyond Steffi's record, I don't recall anyone declaring the former to be "the undisputed GOAT".

Really...what would explain that?

O

Being sarcastic. It's ridiculous if two back to back slams are FOs, and Rafa reaches 21. Maybe that's just part of reality nowadays. Canceling would be great. Sporting events are supposed to be fun and if they can't hold the event safely, they might as well wait and stay safe.

In his prime [ including LATE prime ]...Rafa won 13 of the last 16 FO tournaments played.

MIND-BLOWING!

Absolutely MIND-BLOWING!

Twice he won FOUR consecutive. Once he won FIVE consecutive.

All to the good/great.

But...

Ali lost 3 of his last 4 bouts.

Jordan came up empty in his last 2 seasons.

It's like the investing mantra: "past performance is no guarantee of future results".

Or, if you prefer..."what have you done for me lately?"
