That 'sitting duck' LAME miss was enough for him to ensure he gets this one to 'in a way' atone for the loss - AND keep GOAT aspirations alive.
Could he have given up without the 'line judge' episode? Maybe not. But he may not have been as 'ballistic' about it as he must have been.
