What do the Big Four (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray) have in common?
HINT: None of the six or more Slam winners have it - except Lendl and Edberg (I think).
For rock people, that means Lendl and Edberg have that common thingy too - that the 'Big Four' do.
First correct answer = Wall Of Fame listing.
Winner / Correct answer: Friday, Feb 9, 2018.
They are all Europeans. The other 6+ winners, Sampras, Connors, McEnroe, Agassi, Laver, Emerson were from other continents.

Edberg, from Sweden, is OBVIOUSLY European...so TP's "I think" qualifier on him means that's not it, no?

At least publicly, through their playing days, they’ve had only one long term relationship.

And Stefan's "only one long term", if correct,
could've been even longer if Mats hadn't run interference for a while... :->

They all high school drop outs and yet made millions on one skill
turn their hobby into profession.

What about Boris "Broom-Broom" Becker, Borg, and Mats Wilander? They are European, too.
Posted by: DK | 02/03/2018 at 03:14 PM
All 6 [ each member of Big Four plus Lendl & Edberg ] have made it to the Final of each of the 4 Slams in the Open Era.
Connors is missing FO...
Borg is missing AO...
McEnroe is missing AO...
Wilander is missing Wimby...
Becker is missing FO...
Sampras is missing FO...
And Laver and Agassi are missing in TP's post? :->

This is the best answer so far, imo.
TP, how significant is the construct "have it"? Obviously I'm not thinking of physical possession. For example, one cannot "have" being from Europe.

VEGLIA
'Have' was 'borrowed' from the line above: "What do the Big Four (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray) have in common?"
So it can be 'anything'.

All were conceived during a tournament that in future years they would win. that's got to be it for sure .

Come on TP, this has to be the answer
Posted by: Bettyjane | 02/07/2018 at 08:10 AM
Based on the Photos published today I'm now 100% convinced Alpha is the winner. Congrats!

RF has had loads of coaches, and not long term -- Carter, Annacone, Luthi, Edberg, Ljubicic . Long term one was " no one "
Posted by: stella | 02/08/2018 at 06:49 PM
If I'm not mistaken Alpha's answer considers "romantic relationships".
Posted by: Veglia | 02/09/2018 at 10:52 AM
Yeah, to be clear, I’m referring to Roger-Mirka, Novak- Jelena etc. Thanks Veglia

WINNER: ALPHA.
Posted by: Tennis Planet | 02/09/2018 at 03:42 PM
Thanks TP.
Veglia, time to change coaches? First Gary and now me. Or are you firing the full team and getting Pepe?
Posted by: Alpha | 02/09/2018 at 05:51 PM
Congrats, Alpha!

Hehe! Except it’s still not Saturday :) You’ve gone Big 3 in one post. Federeresque slump, Djokovicesque solution and Nadalesque excuse!

Thanks guys : )

See what I'm saying? But it was a great Friday! (Friday) night out :)
Now that I finally called Pepe, I feel I was treated a bit unfair by TP. How? Well, last WoF I provided the right answer, then Gary clarified and he got the title. This one, you provided the right answer, I clarified but you got the title. No?

You are well on your way to becoming Rafa. This is not the time to talk about my injuries but I was injured. 😀
Posted by: Alpha | 02/10/2018 at 01:22 PM
Truth be told, I'd have absolutely no problem being Rafa
Posted by: Veglia | 02/10/2018 at 05:57 PM
congrats Alpha, but I still think my answer was best -- and if you check dates it was almost 100% certain to be true !!!
